Yeah, and people who watch shows like this (not necessarily anime, there is plenty of such stuff in movies) try to fight vs. crowd during riots and it ends hilariously wrong because IRL even martial artist could easily be beaten by 3-4 non-nerdish, average-build, people.

100 guys that reminds me of Baki, (first episode) where the inspector explained that they could never all attacks at the same time. It's mostly 4-5 guys at the same time and if you're using environment like walls, barriers it's even 2-3 opponent only.

The problem here is endurance and loyalty to fighting because fighting more than one guy is taking punches and kicks you cannot protect yourself from everything. In addition your body will tire out after 30-40 guys took down (if by a miracle you got through without any fatal blows) even if you're strong a tired body can be beaten easily from an average guy.

Well in reality, a person capable of that is near impossible to exist. We don't have eyes behind and neither a 360 degree vision. A good kick/punch in the right place can take you down easily. Assuming they have knives, metal/wood sticks, you cannot win at all.

In this case they fought on an open area in front of that church so "terrain advantage" can't be used as explanation here at all, in place where bodies are laying no obstacles at all.

I think real reason why the actual crowd takedown sequence was skipped straight to the result because it would look silly in this environment and animation team understood it.

Anther very real thing to consider in a crowd is that in rl human bodies are quite heavy and dense, and they don't just disappear or become incorporeal on takedown like in videogames, sure you might wallop those first 3, but now you need to not get pushed back by the crowd pushing against their bodies, and not stumble over the bodies on the ground as the second you trip you'll get stomped to death.

That's right, even in dense concert halls or really crowded places, without fighting you can be badly hurt just because you tripped down. Video games, movies and animes don't ever take that into account. Almost all of the time when an opponent is down, the lying corpses don't even pose a treat or is not even shown anymore in crowded fights which is pretty unrealistic.

I mostly enjoyed Baki for those theories that "seems really plausible" They're served like it existed and really happened. That's fun to watch because knowing the reality you understand that can't be possible with some basics knowledge of anatomy or real experience, but well they're very convincing to the point you might believe it because some arguments are pretty right and real.

Idk. I mean I know some martial arts and I can handle myself against 2-3 people (assuming they're not all fighters as well haha). Even if we take into consideration that Mikey and Draken are super experienced at fighting against large crowds, irl they might be able to take down 10-15 people each at most. The other thing is it's pretty unrealistic to have that many people coming at you at once.

I don't think so. The thing is when you fight alone vs more than 3 people one of them already can easily circle you from behind while 2 other keep you busy unless you take each with single kick.

Remember watching video from Floyd riots in USA where big and fit dude walked to protect his shop vs rioters and was beaten in less than minute - rioters simply swarmed and kicked him from all directions where he was able to react only frontally. Dozen kicks and punches coming from from everywhere over a course of seconds are issue even for the most experienced fighter.
